mAadhaar India: Your Aadhaar Card on Your Smartphone

mAadhaar India is an official mobile application developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to provide a convenient interface for Aadhaar number holders. With mAadhaar, users can carry their demographic information, such as name, date of birth, gender, and address, along with their photograph linked to their Aadhaar number, on their smartphones.

The application allows users to lock and unlock their biometric details and provides an alternative option of using Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) in case of network issues. This means that users no longer need to carry their physical Aadhaar card as the mAadhaar application functions similarly to the physical card.

Users can add their profiles in the app and access them whenever and wherever they want. Up to five profiles can be added using the same Aadhaar number. The mAadhaar app also enables users to share their eKYC or QR code with service providers who require Aadhaar verification before providing Aadhaar services.
